Furyk turned professional in 1992 and won his first tournament on the Nike Tour in 1993. He joined the PGA Tour in 1994 and won at least one tournament each year between 1998 and 2003. In 2010, he won three Tour events, including the Tour Championship and the FedEx Cup.

Jim Furyk was born on May 12, 1970, in West Chester, Pennsylvania. He learned the game of golf from his father during his early years spent in the Pittsburgh suburbs. Furyk graduated from Manheim Township High School in Lancaster County in 1988, where he was a state champion golfer and also played basketball.

Later, he played college golf at the University of Arizona in Tucson, where he was an All-American twice and led the Wildcats to their first NCAA title in 1992.

Jim is married to his wife Tabitha Furyk. The two met at the Jack Nicklaus Memorial Tournament where Jim was a second-year player on the PGA Tour while Tabitha worked at Muirfield Realty. After dating for a few months, Jim proposed at Pebble Beach during the U.S. Open in 2000.

Tabitha and Jim have two children Caleigh Lynn born in 2002 and their son Tanner born in 2004.

Tabitha gave birth to the couple’s daughter Caleigh Lynn in 2002, just two years after she married Jim. Two years later, the couple welcomed their son, Tanner.

Tabitha is the President of The Jim and Tabitha Furyk Foundation. Tabitha graduated from the Ohio State University.
